The Sinking City was a title I really enjoyed, it featured an intriguing story that oozed atmosphere and the Lovecraftian setting provided an eerie world to explore. The team at Frogwares recently released a trailer for the sequel aptly titled The Sinking City 2.
The follow-up looks to lean more heavily into survival-horror mechanics, focusing more on combat and exploration and moving a little, but not entirely, away from the detective adventure of its predecessor. As the game is developed by a studio in the Ukraine the team will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to ‘to create a safety net for the studio as well as help secure some additional features for the game’.
