This past weekend I had one objective; stay indoors and play the Burning Shores expansion for Horizon Forbidden West, which had launched the previous week for PlayStation 5. I am happy to report this objective was met and I have the screenshots to prove it.
However, be warned that there are several spoilers in these images, so should you want to experience the DLC for yourself perhaps give these a skip.
Returning to a videogame that I had completed a few months back, even one that I had put around 100+ hours into, there’s always a little bit of time needed to get the feel of things work again. How do I perform certain tasks in game, what’s the button layout, or why do I keep dying...? Thankfully controls and game logic are pretty intuitive in the Horizon series, and once I got into the flow of the game, I got to do one of my favourite things to do in open-world experiences – explore. The Burning Shores had a decent offering of new activities and story to engage in, which meant lots of time exploring the lush environments in and around the ancient ruins of Los Angeles. I had a great time returning to the Horizon universe and while on this new adventure I took some screenshots of a selection of the new locations and characters, so figured I would post here. However, be warned that there are several spoilers in these images, so should you want to experience the DLC for yourself perhaps give these a skip.
